I was wondering if it's feasible (let alone okay) to do a CD swap to people in your own country, using this site?


Kind of like the principle of book swapping, except with official releases of CDs... is this sort of thing a good idea, or too risky?

If it's all legal I might be up for it.

As in not pirate CD legal or not giving your CDs away to someone shifty who won't ever return them legal?


The latter is my main concern about this idea, but hopefully if enough people are interested something could be done to sort that out...

Am I right in thinking that you mean.. person-A sends a CD to person-B, person-B listens to it, fetches the mop, then sends it back to person-A? And vice-versa?

Because in that case I'm out unfortunately.. partly because I wouldn't trust the UK postal system as far as I could throw it.. and partly because I'm way too much of a horder! Smaug was leanient in comparison!

Yeah...well at least that's what I mean. It would be better than sending files over the internet all the time, although it would be that bit harder, and now you mention it, I'm not sure I'd want my CDs getting lost in a van in the middle of nowhere.

Yep; that's pretty much it... and also covers why I'm curious as to whether it might work or not. :s The postal strike was awful...

Well I'd be perfectly willing if it was was with CD-R or tapes, but that is of course illegal and I'd never do such a thing!
